Pre-Owned Maison
Estate Authentication
Every estate piece we offer is examined, verified and documented before it's listed. Here's what that actually means.
A signed Cartier bracelet or Van Cleef pendant is more than jewelry — it's a piece of a house's history. It's also exactly what counterfeiters imitate most. That's why every pre-owned maison piece we sell passes through the same authentication process before it ever reaches the site.
How We Authenticate
Hallmarks & Serial Numbers
Maker's marks, metal hallmarks and serial numbers are verified against each maison's known conventions for the period.
Construction & Materials
Our specialists examine clasps, hinges, settings and stone quality — the details houses never compromise on and imitations always do.
Provenance & Papers
Where original boxes, certificates or service records exist, they're documented and included. Where they don't, our own authentication documentation ships with the piece.
Why Buy Pre-Owned Maison
Signed estate pieces hold their value, carry designs the houses no longer make, and arrive with a patina no new piece can imitate. Bought well — and authenticated properly — they are among the smartest purchases in fine jewelry.
